HISTORY<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The walls of the Forn del Pla de na Tesa preserve 125 years of a rich family history that, generation after generation, has preserved tradition and artisanal excellence, becoming an emblematic business for the municipality of Marratx\u00ed.<\/p>\n

On July 1, 1899, it opened its doors for the first time under the name Forn de Can Lluc, founded by Lluc, who dedicated 63 years of his life to the business. When she retired, her niece Maria and her husband Jaume took over, expanding the staff with the addition of Magdalena (Maria’s sister) and three more bakers.<\/p>\n

In this way, the small Forn de Can Lluc, which provided the residents of the area with bread and artisan ensaimadas, evolved into the Forn del Pla de na Tesa, beginning its expansion throughout the island.<\/p>\n

In the 1980s, the next generation, led by Miquel and Antonia Vidal (along with their respective partners), took over the family business. With an innovative and entrepreneurial vision, they increased both the variety of products and the level of production, turning the “Es Forn” brand into a small baking industry.<\/p>\n

More than thirty years later, in January 2020, Jaume and Miquel took charge of the family business, maintaining tradition and craftsmanship, and making quality products their hallmark. Currently, Forn del Pla de na Tesa offers fresh products, both traditional and innovative, made with quality and local raw materials.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
