Storytelling, Robòtix workshop, recommendation stalls, and musicalized tales have been the most outstanding activities.
Over 200 people visited this morning the Sa Refinadora square in Es Pont d’Inca to participate in the day of activities organized by the city council to celebrate Sant Jordi.
Among the highlighted activities, there was a family storytelling session, led by the actress and storyteller, Gemma Moll, who captivated both adults and children with her stories. Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in the Robòtix Workshop, where Lego blocks were used to create and learn in a fun and educational environment suitable for all ages.
The Councilor for Culture, Carmen Cañellas, explained that “we decided to hold the main Sant Jordi celebration on Saturday so that families and young children have better availability to attend.” Additionally, the councilor took the opportunity to highlight the great professionals who participated in this event, such as Gemma Moll from Menorca.

At the Es Pont d’Inca Library, in front of the Sa Refinadora square, another activity of the day was held: Musicalized Tales, led by Laura Cañellas, a professional music therapist. The event was aimed at babies aged 0 to 2 years. Cañellas stated that “it is a literary and musical expression resource that provides a tool for the little ones, enriching their personality, auditory perception, communication… Ultimately, being able to experiment with their bodies and movements.”
Sebastià, a resident of Marratxí, added that “activities like today’s are very important for the younger ones, as they spend quality time and enrich their lives.”
Furthermore, throughout the day, visitors could enjoy a variety of stalls filled with literary recommendations provided by the Marratxí Libraries, thus promoting culture and the habit of reading in the municipality.
