More than 60 exhibition and sales stalls, with the presence of 14 groups from outside Mallorca, attended the event, with thousands of attendees over the weekend
Marratxí is once again home to the massive Motor Retro fair, which has gathered thousands of people on Saturday and Sunday. More than 60 exhibition and sales stalls, with the presence of 14 groups from outside Mallorca, associations and attendees from Barcelona, Madrid, Alicante or northern Andalusia, have filled Verónica de Sant Marçal.
The most striking proposal was the Porsche exhibition, with the evolution of the different models of the brand, among which the sporty 356 of 1954 stands out, a two-seater that was the first series car that it manufactured . Antonio Martínez, collaborator in charge of the exhibition, has assured that “we are lucky to be able to bring together a retrospective of the brand since 1954, when Ferdinand Porsche created the 356 model, two seats, going through the creation of his son, the 911 from the year 1965 until the year 2010. Many other Motor Retro have not been able to achieve this exhibition of sixty years of history, almost all the series since the birth of the brand are given, with vehicles from Mallorca Martínez says proudly.
With twelve selected cars, some of them only made for closed circuits, the value of the exhibition adds up to two million euros, “with parts of up to one hundred and twenty thousand euros”, he adds.
